The picturesque Kangaroo Valley is located less than two hours drive from Sydney and Canberra. The valley is nestled between the Cambewarra and Barrengarry Mountains, located between the Southern Highlands and the South Coast.

Kangaroo Valley offers visitors the opportunity to experience the unspoilt beauty of scenic landscapes with steep sandstone escarpments, lush rainforests, rolling pasturelands, and crisp clear mountain streams. The village has many historic buildings listed with the National Trust.

There are a wide range of activities and attractions to experience including golf, tennis, canoeing, bushwalking, picnicking, swimming in the river or at the local pool, rock climbing, abseiling, horse riding, fishing and bike riding.

Drink in the views at the award winning Yarrawa Estate Winery. Taste the local ingredients at the excellent Cafe Bella. Enjoy a game of golf at the Kangaroo Valley Country Club. Or just take a dip in one of the beautiful swimming holes in Kangaroo Valley.

Within the village are a range of specialty shops, the Historic Friendly Inn and cafe’s and restaurants to indulge in. The Pioneer Farm Museum is a good starting point to learn about the valley’s history. Kangaroo Valley also has Australia’s oldest surviving suspension bridge, Hampden Bridge, which was built in 1897 of sandstone.
